Indian wedding (parsi)

Here are some photos from the parsi wedding we attended in Mumbai. So thank you to Vispy Wadia for inviting us to Allbless Baug (a man Daniel Drageset got in touch with while writing his article)! To read more about the wedding look at the post called Still Alive.

In the start of the ceremony the bride and groom are separated by a linen cloth. As the priests say prayers the cloth is removed and they join each other.

After removing the cloth they sit together to be prayed for by the priests. They get flowers from friends and family.

The priests throw rice on the couple as they say prayers.


Afterwards friends and family enter the podium to congratulate the couple. The entire wedding is being documented by professional photographers in both still and video.

After the ceremony there is time for a party, and then a kiss is appropriate


The DJ playing a mix of western and hindi pop songs got people moving on the dance floor.
